Following the end of the Monsoon session of Parliament, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju reported that 12 bills were cleared, with 11 of those passing without any discussion because of protests and walkouts from the Opposition. He noted that the Lok Sabha saw a productivity rate of just 19%, while the Rajya Sabha reached 39%. The only bill that underwent a formal debate was the one addressing paper leaks.
