A monkey sustained serious injuries on Monday evening after it came into contact with a KSEB 11 KV feeder line close to Plavoor School in Kattakkada. The animal suffered burns on its left hand and an injury to its right leg. Following a report from journalist Satheesh Pezhumoodu, the Range Officer was notified, leading to a rescue operation by the Paruthippally Forest Department and the Rapid Response Team. The monkey has since been moved to a forest veterinary facility for medical care.
