Mohammad Nawaz receives ban following positive drug test
Pakistan spin bowler Mohammad Nawaz has served a three-month suspension after a sample taken during the T20 World Cup game against the Netherlands showed traces of Carboxy-THC, a substance linked to cannabis. The penalty was retroactively applied starting May 1 and was shortened to one month once he committed to a rehabilitation program. The ICC confirmed on Friday that his provisional suspension is now over, as he has already been sidelined for two-and-a-half months.
