MNS members take down PM's portrait from Pune college principal's office
On Monday, MNS activists entered a government college in Pune and took down a picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the principal's office. The action was initiated by Amit Thackeray, son of party leader Raj Thackeray, after a student raised an objection about the PM's photo being placed next to images of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Dr. BR Ambedkar. Thackeray stated that PM Modi should not be equated with these two iconic historical figures.
