Mid and small-cap funds hit record 50% share of new investor accounts
For the first time, mid-cap and small-cap mutual fund schemes made up more than half of all new folios added to the industry during the initial four months of FY27. Furthermore, these categories drew in 56% of all equity fund investments throughout July. Analysts believe the rise in investor enthusiasm is primarily driven by the robust returns seen in mid-cap and small-cap equities.
