Meta hit with $1.4 trillion penalty demand in youth addiction lawsuit
Meta revealed that four states in the US are demanding $1.4 trillion in fines as part of a lawsuit claiming the firm built Facebook and Instagram to get young people hooked. Meta stated, "A sanction of that size has no analogue in the history of consumer protection enforcement."
