Namit Malhotra, the producer of 'Ramayana', comes from a film family; he is the son of producer Naresh Malhotra and the grandson of cinematographer MN Malhotra. He launched his initial venture, Video Workshop, during the 1990s before combining it with his father's business to establish Prime Focus. In 2014, Prime Focus joined forces with the visual effects studio Double Negative to form DNEG, a company that has secured eight Academy Awards over the past decade.
