Medical gear worth crores, including a ₹15 crore machine, remains idle in Delhi hospitals

A recent audit has uncovered that medical equipment worth crores is sitting unused across several government hospitals in Delhi. This includes a ₹15 crore medical cyclotron, designed for cancer detection, which was acquired back in 2017. The list of idle machinery also features items that were either donated or bought throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. These unused devices are currently stored at the Lok Nayak Hospital, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, and the Delhi State Cancer Institute.
