Math expert suggests OpenAI copied his research for Millennium Prize challenge
NYU professor Tristan Buckmaster has raised concerns that OpenAI’s recent solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize challenge might have been derived from private research he conducted alongside Anthropic’s Levent Alpöge. Buckmaster claims that OpenAI only started exploring this specific method after finding out about their AI-assisted work and attempted to leave Alpöge out of the recognition. OpenAI has rejected these claims, stating that they did not access any of the researchers' private data.
