Massachusetts woman gets 6-year sentence for targeting Treasury Secretary
A 26-year-old transgender woman from Massachusetts has been handed a prison term of more than six years. She pleaded guilty to carrying improvised explosive devices to the US Capitol with the intent to murder US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, an associate of President Donald Trump. Riley English informed Capitol Police that she was battling substance abuse and a mental health emergency when the incident occurred.
