Maradona's historic 1986 World Cup ball auctioned for ₹32 crore, missing target
The football used by Argentine icon Diego Maradona during his legendary 'Hand of God' goal against England in the 1986 FIFA World Cup has been auctioned for approximately $3.35 million, which is about ₹32 crore. This is the same ball Maradona used to score his 'Goal of the Century' just moments later in the match. Heritage Auctions had initially projected the ball would sell for nearly $10 million, or over ₹95 crore.
