Manipur violence: 20 houses torched amid new unrest
Fresh clashes between Kuki and Naga groups have intensified in the Kamjong district of Manipur, situated close to the border with Myanmar. Unknown individuals reportedly burned down a minimum of 20 houses in the abandoned village of Phaimol. According to officials, security personnel successfully prevented a counter-attack aimed at setting fire to the neighboring Tangkhul Naga village of Shangkhalok. Fortunately, no injuries or deaths have been reported following the incident.
