Mangaluru railway worker rewarded with ₹10,000 for saving passenger
A pointsman stationed at the Surathkal railway station in Mangaluru rescued a passenger who was at risk of falling into the gap between a moving train and the platform while trying to board. Sandeep Nayak acted fast to pull the individual to safety, averting a potential disaster. In appreciation of his quick thinking and courageous act, Konkan Railway has granted Nayak a cash prize of ₹10,000.
