Major NBFCs request RBI discussion regarding potential revolving credit restrictions
According to a report by The Economic Times, prominent non-banking financial companies such as Bajaj Finance, Shriram Finance, and Tata Capital are requesting a meeting with the Reserve Bank of India. They intend to voice their opposition to planned limitations on revolving credit offerings. The firms plan to present their arguments via the Finance Industry Development Council. These potential regulations could impact more than ₹2 lakh crore in loans and may place NBFCs in a less competitive position compared to traditional banks.
