A collection of handwritten notes by Mahatma Gandhi has been sold for ₹16.2 crore at a Saffronart auction held in Mumbai, establishing a new world auction record for any Indian historical document. These notes were written between 1944 and 1946 for freedom fighter Anand T Hingorani following the passing of his wife, Vidya. In these writings, Gandhi discussed various subjects, including truth, non-violence, service, duty, and self-realisation.
