Maharashtra to permit bike taxis starting August 1 with ₹5 daily fee
The Maharashtra government has reversed its stance and plans to officially permit bike taxis beginning August 1, as stated by Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik. Under the new policy, operators will be required to pay a daily charge of ₹5. Furthermore, 2% of the fare from each trip will be contributed to a driver welfare fund, which will be managed by the State Transport Authority.
