Maharashtra sets up SIT to investigate 15,400+ health scheme fraud cases
The Maharashtra government has initiated a significant investigation into potential irregularities within its health programs. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been established to look into more than 15,400 questionable claims filed under the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY) from 2024 to 2026. The SIT is required to provide its findings within 30 days of being set up.
