Maharashtra grants one-year extension for auto and cab drivers to learn Marathi
The government of Maharashtra has pushed back the mandatory deadline for taxi and autorickshaw drivers to learn the Marathi language by one year. This shift comes after Mumbai autorickshaw operators held a three-day protest beginning August 24 to oppose the rule.
