The Election Commission of India released the draft electoral roll for Maharashtra on Monday, concluding its Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Prior to this update, the state recorded 9,78,54,049 voters. The new draft list includes 7,71,65,562 individuals, representing 78.86% of the previous total. This updated roll features 3,95,89,905 men, 3,75,72,570 women, and 3,087 voters from the third gender. A total of 2,06,88,487 names were dropped from the list.
