Maharashtra: ₹18-crore road collapses after 3 months, contractor's truck falls into pit
A road constructed at a cost of ₹18 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana has suffered a major collapse just three months after completion. The 15.5-km Sarani-Urse-Aina road located in Dahanu, Maharashtra, developed a sinkhole over 10 feet deep. Coincidentally, a truck owned by the contractor responsible for the project became trapped in the crater.
