Madras HC rejects MK Stalin's petition to be declared winner from Kolathur
A writ petition filed by DMK chief MK Stalin, which sought a 100% count of VVPAT slips for the Kolathur Assembly constituency, has been dismissed by the Madras High Court. Stalin had lost the seat to TVK's VS Babu in the 2026 elections. In his plea, Stalin had requested that Babu's election be declared invalid and that he himself be declared the winner from the constituency. However, the court ruled that the petition is not maintainable.
