Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway launched by Rajnath Singh; travel time drops to 40 minutes
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari officially opened the Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway today. This new route slashes the travel duration between the two cities from nearly three hours down to only 40 minutes. The National Expressway-6, which links Lucknow's Shaheed Path to Chakeri in Kanpur, was constructed with a budget of approximately ₹4,700 crore. This six-lane road allows for a top speed of 120 kmph.
