Lawsuit claims Oura's ₹29,000 smart rings provide sleep estimates, not actual tracking

Smart ring manufacturer Oura is facing a lawsuit in the US over accusations that it misled customers regarding the sleep-tracking features of its devices. The legal complaint alleges that Oura rings are incapable of measuring the physiological data required to evaluate sleep quality, instead relying on AI-based guesses that are described as being as reliable as a coin toss. Oura, which sells these rings for ₹29,000 in India, had promoted the products as being designed for precision.
