Landslide in China's Chongqing leaves 8 dead, 34 missing
Authorities confirmed that a minimum of eight individuals lost their lives and 34 are still unaccounted for following a landslide in Chongqing, China. According to state media outlet CCTV, the incident took place at approximately 9:08 am in Pengshui County, when a mass of soil and rocks cascaded down, covering over 10 homes. Rescue crews are currently navigating unstable rubble, while more than 1,100 local residents have been moved to safety.
