A major landslide hit the Chongqing region in China this Friday, resulting in eight deaths and leaving 10 individuals injured. Authorities report that approximately 34 people are still unaccounted for. Footage of the incident shows a section of the hillside giving way and crashing into residential buildings, scattering debris over a nearby road as residents fled the area. According to officials, the slide involved roughly 18,000 cubic metres of rock and rubble, which included a massive 3,000-cubic-metre boulder.
