Kuki-Zo legislators return to Manipur Assembly after 2023 unrest
For the first time since the 2023 ethnic clashes began, two Kuki-Zo MLAs physically participated in the Manipur Assembly session on Wednesday. CM Yumnam Khemchand Singh greeted the pair, noting that their attendance marks a constructive move toward restoring peace in the region. The conflict has resulted in more than 250 deaths and the displacement of 60,000 individuals.
