KKR seals $1.4 billion deal to buy Medicover India
Global investment firm KKR has announced plans to purchase Medicover India, the hospital division of the Swedish company Medicover AB. The deal is valued at $1.4 billion (₹13,327 crore) and represents one of KKR's most significant healthcare acquisitions in the country to date. Medicover AB, which currently owns a 66.1% share, along with its minority stakeholders, will completely divest from the business. The acquisition is slated to be finalized by the final quarter of 2026.
