Kimi Antonelli wins Italian GP, first home driver to do so in 60 years
Kimi Antonelli created history at Monza with a victory at the Italian Grand Prix, marking the first time in 60 years an Italian driver has won their home race. The 20-year-old Mercedes driver fought back after an engine penalty forced him to start the race from 19th position. Prior to Antonelli, the last Italian driver to secure a win here was Ludovico Scarfiotti, who took the victory for Ferrari back in 1966.
