Kerala court sentences 61-year-old to 5 years for child abuse
A Fast Track Special Court in Aluva, Kochi, has handed down a five-year prison sentence and a ₹25,000 fine to 61-year-old Shamsu for the sexual abuse of a 10-year-old boy. The incident was reported to the Edathala Police Station in 2023. The prosecution's case was presented by Special Public Prosecutor PG Yamuna, and the investigation was conducted under the supervision of Inspector AN Shaju.
