Kerala court clears man of POCSO charges due to lack of proof
A court in Koyilandy, Kerala, has cleared E K Mammad of all charges in a POCSO case, stating that there was no solid evidence to support the claims. Mammad was accused of the repeated sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl and had served 82 days behind bars following his arrest in 2022. The judge ruled that the victim's statement was not credible, and medical reports also failed to show any signs of sexual abuse.
