Eight engineering students from Tamil Nadu lost their lives on Friday after their vehicle collided with a parked car on a highway in Thrissur, Kerala. According to police, the car was severely mangled, requiring rescuers to cut through the metal to extract the victims. Six of the students passed away at the scene, and the remaining two died later while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
