Karnataka rules out Cauvery water release to Tamil Nadu, sparking controversy
Karnataka's Water Resources Minister, Ramalinga Reddy, has stated that the state is unable to provide Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. The DMK has criticized the Congress, alleging that the party has failed to ensure Tamil Nadu receives its allocated share, despite holding power in Karnataka and maintaining an alliance with the ruling party in Tamil Nadu. In response, the Karnataka administration dismissed these claims, noting that the Cauvery Water Management Authority is responsible for determining water distribution based on current supply levels.
