Karnataka BJP leaders held during protest against Valmiki Corporation scandal
A number of BJP members and leaders were taken into custody in Karnataka while marching toward the state Assembly. They were demanding the resignation of Minister B Nagendra, citing his suspected role in the Valmiki Corporation fraud. R Ashoka, the Leader of the Opposition, claimed that ₹187 crore from the corporation had been embezzled. Meanwhile, the Congress party criticized the demonstration, urging the Opposition to instead discuss the matter within the Assembly.
