Operations of the toy train on the Kalka-Shimla route came to a halt following a landslide between the Gumman and Koti stations. Around 391 passengers along with 40 railway employees had to be evacuated. The incident occurred due to incessant rains in Himachal Pradesh, which eroded the soil beneath a portion of the narrow-gauge track. This left the railway structure hanging in the air, forcing officials to stop all train services on the route.
