JNU calls off Umar Khalid book event, citing hidden details by organizers
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has revoked the booking of an auditorium that the JNUSU had reserved for a public talk regarding 'Fractured Communities: Adivasi Histories and the Politics of Power', a book authored by former student and prisoner Umar Khalid. According to university officials, the organizers framed the event as a broad discussion for Tribal Day while omitting its connection to Khalid. JNU stated that the cancellation was due to the organizers' failure to disclose the complete facts.
