Jharkhand police nab Maoist Ajay Mahato with ₹25 lakh reward on his head
Ajay Mahato, a wanted Maoist leader with a ₹25 lakh bounty, has been taken into custody in the Giridih district of Jharkhand. As a key member of the banned CPI (Maoist) Special Area Committee, he was facing charges in over 240 criminal incidents, with more than 100 of those cases registered in West Singhbhum. Law enforcement officials apprehended him following a tip-off regarding his presence at a local residence.
