Jan Suraaj alleges police detained workers before Bankipur bypoll, Prashant Kishor protests at station
The Jan Suraaj Party claimed that the Bihar Police took 16 of its workers into custody late on Wednesday, just hours ahead of the Bankipur assembly by-election, and moved them to various police stations. Following this, the party's leader and candidate, Prashant Kishor, went to the Jakkanpur police station along with his supporters, resulting in a heated exchange with the SHO. Kishor charged that the police were operating under instructions from the BJP to prevent his workers from participating in the polling process.
