Jaguar Land Rover to cut 4,000 jobs: Here is why

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is said to be preparing to eliminate as many as 4,000 positions in the UK over the coming two years as part of a strategy to cut expenses during a challenging global market. The automaker has launched a voluntary redundancy scheme for its management and salaried workforce. Through these measures, JLR intends to achieve savings of approximately $2.30 billion and decrease its break-even threshold to 3,00,000 vehicles.
