ISRO to boost NavIC network with upcoming NVS-03 satellite launch
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is gearing up to deploy the NVS-03, a next-gen navigation satellite, in early September 2026. Currently stationed at Sriharikota, the satellite aims to bolster India's NavIC system, which has faced challenges due to technical glitches and the aging of existing satellites. Plans are also in place to follow this up with the launches of NVS-04 and NVS-05 shortly after.
