Israel admits shooting car of fleeing 5-year-old Hind Rajab and her family in Gaza
For the first time, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have acknowledged shooting at the vehicle carrying five-year-old Palestinian girl Hind Rajab and her family members as they attempted to escape Gaza in January 2024. Previously, the IDF had rejected any connection to their deaths, claiming its troops were not "within firing range" of the vehicle. Following the admission, the Israeli military has launched a criminal probe into the widely publicized incident.
