IRDAI stops Niva Bupa from launching new branches for 6 months
Niva Bupa Health Insurance has been restricted by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) from starting any new office locations for a period of six months. The company stated in a regulatory filing that this action was taken due to a failure to follow expense of management (EoM) regulations for the 2025 fiscal year. Niva Bupa noted that this regulatory decision will not result in any financial consequences for the firm.
