IRCTC slaps ₹5 lakh penalty on caterer following food poisoning incident on train
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has penalised a food vendor with a ₹5 lakh fine after 25 students on a train became sick after eating their meals. Medical staff from the railways treated the students right at the station. Authorities have also gathered food samples from the vendor to be sent for laboratory analysis.
