As the conflict with the US reaches its sixth month, citizens in Iran are turning to the sale of natural hair, old clothing, and empty perfume containers, while also renting out personal electronics like laptops to make ends meet. According to the Iranian news agency ILNA, a "survival economy" has taken hold due to the ongoing hostilities. Citing data from Iran's Statistical Center, ILNA noted that the annual inflation rate climbed to 66% for the period ending in late July.
