Iran finds significant new natural gas deposits

Iran has identified a new natural gas reserve containing more than 200 billion cubic metres. Petroleum Minister Mohsen Paknejad announced that the find is located in the southern Fars province. He noted that roughly 160 billion cubic metres of this supply is recoverable, and the field holds high-quality, low-sulphur 'sweet' gas. This development arrives while Iran's energy industry continues to deal with the impact of US-Israeli attacks on its facilities that began in February.
