Iran captures American underwater drone near Strait of Hormuz
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported that they seized an unmanned US underwater vessel in the Strait of Hormuz. According to American officials, the drone, manufactured by Anduril, experienced a technical failure and probably drifted into Iranian territory. They noted that the device contained no sensitive technology and featured remote-wipe capabilities. Additionally, Iran alleged that it had downed a US MQ-1 surveillance drone within the same region.
