Investment trends among women: Where is the capital flowing?
Data from the AMFI-Crisil Factbook 2026 reveals that gold exchange-traded funds accounted for 16.4% of the passive fund portfolios held by women as of March 2026. The total assets under management (AUM) for women climbed from ₹5.84 lakh crore in March 2021 to ₹15.88 lakh crore by March 2026. Additionally, equity funds dominated the portfolios of younger investors, making up 88.3% of AUM for women under 25 and 76.2% for those in the 25-44 age bracket.
