INS Nipun: Indian Navy inducts new deep-sea diving vessel
On Monday, the Indian Navy officially inducted the deep-sea diving ship INS Nipun in Mumbai. The ceremony for this second Diving Support Vessel took place with Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, in attendance. As the second ship in the Nistar-class, the indigenously designed and constructed INS Nipun enhances the Navy's capacity for submarine rescue, underwater operations, and deep-sea diving.
