India's position on Indus Waters Treaty unchanged, says MEA

Following Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's criticism regarding the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty since April 2025, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that India's position remains consistent. India has held that the 1960 water-sharing agreement will remain suspended until Pakistan ends its support for cross-border terrorism. Sharif had previously remarked that every drop of Pakistan's water is a red line for his country.
