India's fuel demand grows in June despite rising prices
According to preliminary data from the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell, fuel usage in India increased in June, even with higher retail prices and supply-chain issues stemming from Middle East tensions. The figures reveal that petrol demand climbed by 7% compared to the same period last year, reaching 3,768 thousand metric tonnes (TMT). Meanwhile, diesel consumption experienced a 5.52% rise, totaling 8,552 TMT.
