India's August GST collections surge nearly 15% YoY to around ₹2 lakh crore
In August this year, India's goods and services tax (GST) collections rose by 14.8% year-on-year to reach ₹1.99 lakh crore, continuing the robust revenue growth recorded over the previous three months. During August 2025, the GST collections were recorded at ₹1.74 lakh crore. Meanwhile, the net GST revenue for the month, calculated after refund adjustments, reached ₹1.68 lakh crore, representing an annual increase of 8.3%.
